JMR partnered with PIMA Medical Institute to convert a former office space into a fully equipped veterinary training facility, delivering a highly specialized environment tailored for hands-on learning and clinical instruction.

The 2,442 SF tenant improvement included the buildout of a classroom, surgery/operating room, radiology suite with X-ray equipment, dog and cat kennel areas, laundry room, and medical gas storage, along with the distribution of medical gas systems throughout the space.

One of the primary challenges involved design-build plumbing within the constraints of the existing structure, where core drilling through the slab was not permitted. Through detailed investigation of existing conditions, close coordination with trade partners, and careful code compliance review, our team developed and executed a solution that delivered full functionality without compromising the structure.

JMR also coordinated the delivery and installation of specialized equipment, system startups, medical gas inspections, and tenant move-in, ensuring a seamless transition from construction to operation.
